Hey there! I’m Aurélien Honoré, founder of HIGO TECHS, a trans man who saw a gap and decided to bridge it—not just for me, but for all of us who’ve felt like outsiders in our own health journeys. So, in 2022, I took a leap of faith. I jumped full-time into an idea fueled by personal experience and a hefty dose of optimism. Welcome to the genesis of something big.
Imagine navigating a health system that doesn’t quite get you. It’s like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole—frustrating, right? That was my world, and possibly yours too. This disconnect isn’t just inconvenient; it’s a barrier to essential care. That’s where the spark for HIGO TECHS was born. Armed with passion and driven by necessity, I set out to create a platform where none of us would feel like an outsider.
HIGO TECHS emerges at a crucial moment, addressing the pressing need for specialized healthcare solutions tailored for the trans community amidst significant societal and technological shifts. Flash forward to September 2022, I joined the START Eurasanté incubation program, and that’s when things got real. Surrounded by innovators and mentors, I began sculpting HIGO TECHS—not just as a business but as a movement. Our flagship app, Transminder, is where our heart meets our hustle. It’s more than tech; it’s a beacon for change, offering everything from health tracking to emotional support—all tailor-made for the trans community.
Choosing to incubate at Eurasanté wasn't just a strategic decision; it was a pivotal one. The program specializes in nurturing health and biotech ventures, providing access to a network of industry experts, potential partners, and advanced technological resources.
Beyond mentorship and networking, Eurasanté has provided us with opportunities to showcase our progress and solicit feedback through events and conferences.
